At PaySimati, we are committed to providing a secure and transparent mobile money service that complies with regulations set by the Reserve Bank of Malawi. Below is a summary of the transaction and balance limits for mobile-money accounts, as outlined by the regulatory framework

The maximum amount you can transact per day depends on your account type:

  • Prime, PrimeX, Go Member (personal subscriber) Accounts: Up to MWK 750 000 per day.
  • Agent Accounts: Up to 20 million MWK per day.
  • Merchant Accounts: Up to 100 million MWK per day.

These limits ensure that your transactions remain safe and within manageable thresholds while allowing flexibility for different types of users.

Your account balance is subject to limits based on your account type:

  • Prime, PrimeX, Go Member (personal subscriber) Accounts: Maximum balance of 1 million MWK.
  • Agent Accounts: Balance up to 25 million MWK.
  • Merchant Accounts: Maximum balance of 100 million MWK.

These balance limits help protect your funds while ensuring that you have enough liquidity for your daily activities.

Certain types of accounts are exempt from these transaction and balance limits:

  • Super Agents
  • Billers and Utility Companies
  • Corporate Bodies

Inward receipts, such as Cash-in or Pay Person transactions, will only count against the account balance limit but not the daily transaction limit. This means that while receiving funds may increase your account balance, it will not affect how much you can transact in a single day.
